Great local food and one of the best Beef Manhattan I've had in a long time. Friendly service and casual environment. Great little out of the way place just down the road from both 52 and 65. Easy to find too.
I went here for a wedding and it was the perfect venue. The decorations were simple but elegant. There was plenty of food and the service was great. The bartenders spiced it up at the end of the night and started to make the drinks extra strong which was awesome. I would recommend this place for a venue for your next wedding, 50th anniversary or any other large gathering.
They serve by far the best onion rings and fried catfish you'll find anywhere. Their steaks are also excellent.
We held a birthday party for a group of 43 on my father's birthday. The staff was excellent and professional. The owner even brought back older recipes that the restaurant had served many years ago. One for peach cobbler and one for apple cobbler. They were both extraordinaryly good.
Ordered a fillet mignon, wasn't cooked to what I ordered, but it was still very good, I wasn't going to complain. The owner comes out with a new steak for me, and said he knew it wasn't what I ordered, and cooked me a new one. Absolutely a fabulous place to eat!
We held our party in their banquet room and the combination of excellent food and excellent service in a very nice venue made our party a big success. It was Dad's 90th!
We dropped in on the spur of the moment and immediately were greeted and told to sit where ever we liked. As soon as seated the waitress was there taking our drink order and allowing us to look over the menu. Place is VERY clean, food servings are HUGE, onion rings are out of this world! Huge, crispy, light batter and freshly made. Even though it was close to closing time we were not rushed or made to feel rushed. The only negative I could say about this place is that its not open all day. Otherwise a very nice little secret of this tiny town. Well worth the extra mileage to seek it out and dine there.
